Support Teacher
Tara grew up in the Portland area and received her undergraduate degree in Child & Family Studies from Portland State University. Discovering a deeper love for teaching, she earned her Master of Arts in Teaching from George Fox University. Her capstone project was an in-depth study of the benefits of the Read to Dogs program, combining her passions for literacy and animals in the learning process.
In 2018, after many years teaching in the classroom, Tara became a Behavior Therapist and has been working closely with children on the Autism spectrum and their families for several years. At Victory Academy, Tara has found a place where all of her experiences come together.
Tara is active in the local dog sports community and can often be found traveling around the US and Canada with her 4-legged athletes.
