APE & Recreation Specialist
Shannon hails from Santa Cruz, CA, and has over 25 years of experience working with youth in recreation and over 15 years working with children and teens in special education. She also holds a BA in English Literature.
Shannon comes to Victory from a specialized Autism program, called Chrysalis, provided by Santa Cruz County Office of Education. She is now starting her 7th year at Victory and her 5th year as the Recreation and Adapted Physical Education Specialist at Victory. Shannon continues to look forward to exploring the weird and wonderful Pacific Northwest with Victory’s students, continuing social and life skills practice in authentic environments, while hopefully introducing the students to a new loved activity and community.
Shannon and her family call Milwaukie home, and they like to explore all of the rivers and beauty that Oregon offers. When she is not at Victory, Shannon plans to live happily ever after with her husband, son, and beloved dog Roscoe.
