Lauren Washington

Elementary BCBA

lauren washingtonLauren Washington grew up in Northern Michigan and earned her degree in psychology from Michigan State University, tailoring her studies toward child development. Working with children has always come naturally to Lauren, as she spent her summers babysitting a close family friend with autism. This young man remains one of Lauren’s closest friends and biggest motivators today.

Lauren went on to earn a master’s degree in educational psychology from Wayne State University and became a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst in 2019. After relocating to the Pacific Northwest, Lauren began providing ABA therapy across home, clinic, and school settings. She is a strong advocate for assent-based care and has mentored fellow clinicians to ensure high-quality, compassionate therapy that leads to long-lasting outcomes for children and their families. Lauren is also thoroughly trained in Practical Functional Assessment and Skills-Based Treatment (PFA/SBT), a framework grounded in trust, rapport, and safety.

On the weekends, you’ll find Lauren watching travel vlogs and building detailed itineraries for fun. And during the holidays, Lauren can usually be found exploring a new country and experiencing a different culture. Lauren is also a major foodie who is always eager for local restaurant recommendations in the Portland area
