Support Teacher
Catherine is originally from North Carolina, where she earned her B.A. in English Literature from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, followed by her Secondary Teaching Licensure from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. Before joining Victory Academy, she spent two years teaching English and creative writing in alternative middle and high school settings.
These early teaching experiences illuminated Catherine's deep passion for supporting neurodiverse students in specialized, nontraditional learning environments. Her instructional approach emphasizes empathy, practical real-world application, and cultivating lifelong critical thinkers and readers.
Outside of the classroom, Catherine enjoys writing and spending time outdoors with her dog, Marnie.
