wendell lijuacoWendell grew up in the Philippines. He graduated with a BA in Secondary Education, with a major in English. For eight years, Wendell taught as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher to Koreans in the Philippines.

He came to the United States five years ago and moved from California to Oregon in June of 2019. During his time in California, Wendell worked as an Instructional Assistant at Wings Learning Center, a school for children with Autism, in the San Francisco area.

Coming from a musical family, Wendell was exposed to music at a very young age. He first joined a local church choir, which later inspired him to pursue drumming. In fact, before coming to the United States, Wendell was the drummer of a professional singer in the Philippines, and he also played for a couple of bands there. Wendell strives to incorporate music into everything he does, including his teaching and work with kids.

Wendell likes to play sports such as volleyball, badminton, and basketball. In his free time, he loves to sing, hike, and travel with his wife.
