Teaching Assistant
Lisa grew up in Seattle, then raised her family living in a small town on the east side of the state. She then moved to Tualatin in 2014 with her teen daughters and husband of almost 30 years.
Lisa’s background in education began when she was hired into the Special Ed Preschool with the school district in her town. From there, she transferred to the elementary school to work 1:1 and in small groups with special education students. She remained at the school for 10 years until her family moved to Tualatin. Prior to this, she also had gained experience as a caregiver at a group home for six disabled adults. She loved the connection that she was able to make with her students and residents!
Upon moving to Tualatin, she pursued a different direction, getting her real estate license and then interior design, opening her own business in 2021. But she missed having a rewarding career where she can make a difference in the lives of children, which led her to Victory. She feels so very lucky to be welcomed here at Victory Academy, getting to know the students and staff.
In her spare time, she loves to hang out with her family, go to the Coast, go to 80’s New Wave dance parties, drink wine with friends, and fawn over her 3 cats.
