As part of its program for teens, Victory provides work experience opportunities for students at local businesses, where they learn invaluable job skills and develop their own work preferences. Victory began its partnership with Wilsonville Subaru in April 2018, and since that time, Wilsonville Subaru has embraced Victory’s kids and welcomed them into their business. At Wilsonville Subaru, the students are exposed to all aspects of vehicle production, mechanics, maintenance, care, storage, and sales. Students may work "on the floor", in the warehouse, or in the shop alongside Subaru employees. Students participate in cleaning, moving tires, breaking down boxes, taking and restocking inventory, and scanning in items. Additionally, students have the opportunity to learn through observation in the shop, assisting mechanics as needed.
The incredible staff at Wilsonville Subaru demonstrate on-going compassion and commitment to Victory and the participating work experience students. This year, their support extended into the 2019/2020 Share the Love Event. Victory is humbled by Wilsonville Subaru’s extraordinary efforts on our behalf, as Share the Love raised over $40,000 to support Victory’s specialized programs for children and teens with Autism. During this time of uncertainty and unknowns, these funds play a critical part in keeping Victory healthy and moving forward. Thank you Wilsonville Subaru!
